Identify Iphone By Serial Number
It is ideal to record the serial number immediately you purchase a new device such as an iPhone. Know that your phone constantly transmits the same serial number to the provider’s network, making it easy for them to trace the phone in the event that it goes missing.
If your device is not working, you can find your IMEI number printed on the iPhone or iPad itself. Older models have the IMEI engraved on the back of the device alongside the regulatory information.
Step 1. Contact Your iPhone Provider
Contact your cell phone provider with your serial number. Remember they do record numerous numbers hence it will be of importance if you know the serial number of your phone. It is this number that lets them trace any phone once it is reported missing. You can use any browser and google through reliable providers in order to contact them. It is wise to do this as soon as you realize that your phone has gone missing.
Step 2. Ask for Deactivation

Find your phone number
I know, I know, you probably know your cell number by heart, but if you’re anything like me, it may take months for you to memorize your number, especially if you recently changed it.
iOS gives you a couple different ways to find your phone number. One method is to go to Settings > Phone and then look for “My number.” This will give you your country code, area code, and number. Alternately, you can go to the Phone app, tap Contacts, then scroll all the way to the top. Tap your name and number, and you can edit your own contact card.

Find your serial number
To locate your phone’s serial number, go to the Settings app, tap General, then tap About to view various details about your phone. Scroll down and look for the “Serial Number” entry, and make a note of the alphanumeric string that follows.
Find your SIM card number
Each SIM card has a unique identifier known as an “integrated circuit card identifier,” or ICCID for short. To find this number, head back over to Settings > General > About, scroll down, and look for the ICCID. An ICCID can be quite long, so you’ll want to check and double-check it if you write it down.
Settings > General > About also provides a number of other details about your phone, such as your phone’s model number, its IMEI (another unique identifier that applies to the phone itself), and which version of iOS you’re currently running.
